Information for Team Captains

There will be two important dates coming up; February 26th and March 1st. Attending one of these two dates is mandatory for all Team Captains. If you are a corporate team, which you will have been notified about, you will attend the March 1st meeting. All other Team Captains who have not been notified about being a corporate team will attend the meeting on February 26th. Both meeting dates take place at 5:30PM and will be held at The Tap (815 Harvey Rd, College Station). During the meeting we will be going over the rules and regulations for Chilifest 2019, along with the opportunity for Team Captains to purchase additional tickets with reduced ticket fees. Plan on having all of your money collected by this date. We will use the number of tickets that your team has purchased by this date to determine your teams spot size. Spot selection will be held on March 23rd. A Chilifest representative will reach out to each Team Captain with more information regarding their spot selection after March 1st. Each Team Captain should have received a password, which can be used online to add tickets to their team.

Please feel free to reach out if you have any questions. We can’t wait to continue working with y’all, and hope to make this the best Chilifest yet.

Chilifest 2019 Celebrating 28 Years with an ELITE Lineup of Entertainers

COLLEGE STATION, TEXAS – January 18, 2019 – This spring, Chilifest will be celebrating 28 years of chili, music, and fun in Central Texas. Over the years, Chilifest Inc. has assembled an untarnished resume of success – having entertained thousands of patrons and attracted some of country music’s finest performers to our area. Undoubtedly, Chilifest remains in a class of its own: dedicated to providing a spectacular event, with all proceeds benefiting the community to aid in many worthy causes. As of today, Chilifest has contributed over THREE AND A HALF MILLION DOLLARS to the Brazos Valley and surrounding areas.

Chilifest 2019 takes place Friday and Saturday, April 5th and 6th and this two-day music festival does not disappoint in PERFORMERS with headliner Cody Jinks taking the stage Saturday evening. Cody Jinks continues to pave his own roads and firmly do things his way, with over 260k albums sold and over 500 Million Streams of his incredible catalogue of music. Rolling Stone said it best about Cody Jinks. “Rule Changing Country Music”.

Joining Cody Jinks on Saturday is Randy Rogers Band, Whiskey Myers, Flatland Cavalry, and Kyle Park. Gracing the stage Friday night is the Battle of the Bands winner Joh Hord, Kolby Cooper, Kody West, Shane Smith & The Saints, and co-headliners Koe Wetzel and Pat Green! One of the most influential modern stars in Texas’ long country-music tradition, Pat Green has left a mark on the lives of countless fans and generations of artists, helping to solidify a cultural movement bringing artists from the Lone-star state to the national stage along the way. Ending the year on Pandora’s ‘Country Artists to Watch’ and Spotify’s ‘Most Streamed’ lists, Koe Wetzel brings his brand of East Texas rock ‘n’ roll to sold out crowds all across the country. Koe is in the studio now, working on his highly anticipated follow-up to 2016’s Noise Complaint.

This two-day music festival is open to the public and tickets are on sale now at Chilifest.org. Chilifest 2019 has many opportunities and all the details can be found at their website at www.chilifest.org. With adding additional opportunities along with an extremely organized event that provides top of the line entertainment, it allows Chilifest to get bigger and better every year.

With 35,000 people attending in a two-day window, you do not want to miss the FUN and ENTERTAINMENT this event provides. All in all, when you are able to give back to the community as Chilifest Inc. has year after year, it is something to be PROUD of. Chilifest Inc. prides themselves on this tradition, a tradition that makes a POSITIVE impact in the Brazos Valley as well as providing their patrons a memorable experience.

The purpose of Chilifest Inc. is to offer assistance to thousands of ill, neglected, and less fortunate individuals; as well as provide funding for many organizations who put forth the effort to resolve the life-threatening problems that endanger the lives of so many.[/vc_column_text][/vc_column][/vc_row]

Chilifest, Inc. donates more than $200,000 to Brazos Valley nonprofits, establishes Texas A&M endowment

[/vc_column_text][vc_zigzag][vc_column_text]In its 27th year, Chilifest presented checks Friday totaling more than $200,000 to 41 local nonprofits following another successful music festival.

This year’s event featured both cold temperatures and hot performances from county musicians such as headliner Chris Young, Casey Donahew, Bri Bagwell and more.

“This is kind of one of the most important parts about Chilifest,” said Robert Cary, president of Chilifest. “In my mind, actually the most important. Chilifest is a lot of fun and we do a lot of different things throughout the year, but this is the one that gives the whole event a lot of meaning.”

One of the largest beneficiaries was the Texas A&M Foundation endowment for the creation of a scholarship in the name of the music festival.

“This is something that we’ve been working on for a couple of years now. We’re very excited for this year to be the year that we were able to get this done,” Cary said. “We hope that Chilifest continues for many many years, but this will go on forever. This is an endowment through the Texas A&M Foundation and this will provide a scholarship every single year to a handful of students, from now until forever.”

Burleson County Go Texan Association, which provides scholarships for students living in Burleson County, also received $25,000.

The Boys & Girls Club of the Brazos Valley received $15,000 and Coach Blair Charities received $10,000 in donations.

The recent event is officially the largest Chilifest on record with 37,000 people attending the two-day music festival, giving the organization the opportunity to provide donations no smaller than $1,000 to 41 local nonprofits.

Chilifest 2019 is scheduled for April 5-6.
